We were planning on just laying on the beach when we got there since we were tired but it wasn't the best day so we just went into the town and did some shopping and eating.
Off to bed and then beach the next day! The beaches in Mykonos were very nice and now I am superrr tan. I really do not need to be any more tan so I'll just have to slather on like 100 spf for the rest of my beach time here in Greece haha.
That night we went into town and rented ATV/4-wheelers which was a really fun idea and probably my favorite part. I only drove it in a sort of deserted area for a little bit. I was definitely content to just ride around on the back. Dinner was delicious of course, but not as good as Thessaloniki I think because it's a touristy area. I love going to tavernas! I'm going to eventually miss yummy Greek food after I stuff myself with all of the American food I miss!
After dinner that night was not so good when we tried to go back to our hotel on the atv's. I was riding with one other girl and we took off ahead of them and lost them but then realized our lights weren't working. Uh oh. We kept driving a little bit but then our engine kept dying and we would have to wait and then turn it on again. Not good but the place we rented it from was closed. We didn't think it was a good idea to try to drive home though so we drove it back to the store, left it there, and took a cab home.
The next morning we went back into town to yell at them and get a new atv. This was pretty much the worst experience ever. They acted like they did nothing wrong and it wasn't their problem at all. I think the language barrier made it worse but they were really just being ridiculous and insensitive. Then the boss guy came in and he was the biggest jerk ever. He immediately just started yelling at us. We eventually got a new atv but instead of giving us the money back we spent on a cab like we reasonably asked for, the boss decided to rip up a 10 euro bill in front of us. And that's pretty much why Greece has a sucky economy... but then it was okay because we went to Starbucks after and that's like walking into America! Passion iced tea makes my day. It's the best, except they didn't have raspberry (thanks Kendra for introducing me to it, although I don't know if you read this or not).
Anyway the rest of the day was great because we just drove around enjoying the great scenery and laying on a couple different beaches.
Then when we'd had enough sun we went back to town for another delicious dinner.
An egret (the island's known for them) joined us :)
We left to go back to Thessaloniki early the next morning. The partyers decided to just stay up all night so we had a quiet ferry/bus ride home. yay!
Mykonos!

This weekend I'm climbing Mt. Olympus since it was canceled last time due to bad weather. So excited! Then I just have class Monday and Tuesday and that's it! Crazy. I'm going to be flying home 2 weeks from this Saturday!!!!
